Appearance:
These pages are designed for high legibility and fast reading speeds. The
site design assumes normal fonts and resolutions---nothing weird or nonstandard
is required.
About the only thing that won't work well is if
you've selected a "large font" or other nonstandard option for your
desktop or browser fonts.
Specifically, all pages were tested and will work properly at all normal
resolutions, color depths and standard fonts. The pages are optimal on a
1024x768 or 1280x1024 screen at 16-bit color depth using standard Windows
fonts.
Fonts: Default desktop and browser font settings work best.
If you've set your desktop or browser to use "large fonts," try a
medium/normal or smaller font; you'll still be able to read all the type on Langa.Com, and the pages will look much better!
These pages are based mostly on Arial---a commonly-available, open, legible, sans-serif font
designed specifically for on-screen use. Any sans-serif substitute font also will work,
although the pages won't look the way I built them.
Resolution: Any standard resolution is acceptable. The pages
will even work acceptably on a 640x480 display.
Colors: Any color depth of 256 or greater is fine. You may
see some minor dithering at 256 colors, but the colors will still be acceptable.
There's no dithering at all higher color depths.

Just FYI:
Authoring: I use FrontPage to create and maintain this
site. I designed a custom "theme" (a FrontPage kind of cascading style
sheet) to control the text, colors and background. All the Langa.Com graphics
were done with a variety of tools including Corel Draw, Microsoft Image Composer
and GIF Animator, LViewPro, and---gasp!--Paintbrush. 8-)
