About

If you’ve made it to this page, you probably already know me (Fred Langa) from some previous gig: Windows Secrets, or the LangaList newsletter, or the original LangaLetter newsletter, or Windows Magazine (or its siblings: NetGuide and Home PC), or Byte Magazine, or Popular Computing, yadda yadda yadda. Basically, I’ve been a tech editor and writer forever. (Want a grin? Here’s an ancient bio, via the Internet Archive’s WayBack machine)

Yup. It’s this guy again.

I’m currently splitting my time among various gigs; including a new version of my LangaList columns for the AskWoody Plus Newsletter (which is a continuation of the former Windows Secrets newsletter); and other, more personal things such as volunteering for various social-service agencies; and maintaining this site — not a recreation of the old/original Langa.Com, but something different — some tech and reader Q&A, sure; but no longer the sole focus. Hey, my life is different, now (info). So’s yours, probably! <g>

In any case, welcome!
