Depends on what kind of changes you mean; and on variables such as which OS you\u2019re using.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, if you pre-vacation shutdown included a pending update to a new version of Windows (perhaps without you realizing it), the update would complete when you next turned on the PC \u2014 even if that was after your vacation. When the PC was back up and running, you might well see \u201cmany changes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But if some of your documents were opened, and someone made \u201cmany changes\u201d there, that\u2019s a whole different thing: That\u2019s an unauthorized human at your keyboard; or someone with remote-boot access to your PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s almost surely the former — just an update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And in any case, you made a full backup and stored it in a safe place before vacation, just in case something bad happened to your data while you were away…. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
