Leave the phone fully off while the charge completes. When it&#8217;s fully charged, unplug and use the phone normally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the phone won&#8217;t charge, try Google&#8217;s &#8220;<a aria-label=\"Fix an Android device that won't charge or turn on (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/android\/answer\/7662405?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\">Fix an Android device that won&#8217;t charge or turn on<\/a>.&#8221; (The concepts discussed there also work for Apple devices.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If it simply won&#8217;t charge at all, then the battery protection circuitry is dead.
