It\u2019s not meant for use has a high-power charging port. (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"USB standards (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/USB\" target=\"_blank\">USB standards<\/a> &#8212; Wikipedia)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Separately, there are special-purpose <strong>USB PD<\/strong> (<strong>power-delivery<\/strong>) socket standards, and <strong>USB BC<\/strong> (<strong>battery-charging<\/strong>) socket standards; both of which can deliver higher power; but they are <strong>not<\/strong> the same as the normal <strong>USB 3.2 <\/strong> data+power sockets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even more confusing, <strong>USB 3.2 Gen 1<\/strong> is really just a renaming of the previously-existing <strong>USB 3.0<\/strong> standard; the name was retroactively changed for consistency with the naming conventions of later generations; but did not change the underlying standard itself.
