I did another shift volunteering on the phones to help WBUR<\/a>‘s Fall fund drive today.<\/p>\n

Most pledges are modest; any amount helps. The average pledge I’ve taken probably works out to something around a buck or two a week.<\/p>\n

But today’s jaw-drop moment: I took one pledge for $1,000; all-at-once, and no premium\/prize requested. Wow!<\/p>\n

But again, any amount helps: If you can, how about chipping in to your local NPR station?<\/p>\n

(PS: They also asked me to record several “drop ins,” little 10-second announcements that run between two broadcast elements. It’ll be fun to hear if they use ’em. \ud83d\ude42 )<\/p>\n
