Update: Late-August, 2018
OK, looks like things are finally working more or less as they should!
- The basic site is stable; the major infrastructure is in place and OK.
- The RSS feeds are working; point your RSS Reader at Langa.Com, or use the links under MISC in each page’s sidebar. (If your RSS reader isn’t seeing new content, it may still be looking at the older version of this site; just delete your Langa.com feed, and start a new one — it should work fine from here on out.)
- SSL security (e.g. https://langa.com ) is working.
- The rendering is OK on desktops, tablets, and phones.
- The site can now use the logical, international date standard (ISO 8601) of descending time units — YYYY/MM/DD — where appropriate.
- There are still some CSS issues, but none appears to be a showstopper. The WordPress theme I’m using has its own limitations, too, and I may eventually switch themes; but I’m much more interested in just getting the damn site going, first.
I’m restoring some of the “keeper” content from the previous site, and will soon start adding new material.
Thanks for your patience!
