Security risks: Wired Ethernet vs. Wi-Fi

My column in this week’s ASKWOODY PLUS* newsletter discusses wired Ethernet vs. Wi-Fi security; provides information on Win10’s built-in “packet-sniffer” tool for examining raw network traffic; and discusses whether you can install Win10 via USB from an Android phone.

  1. I haven’t read your Ethernet vs. Wi-Fi security article yet, but for almost 5 years I use my home laptop via Ethernet more than 99% of the time. Even my wireless capability printer is instead connected via USB cable to my router and driven by software in the PC. I don’t use newfangled Wi-Fi unless I really need it.
