It’s like a Heinlein novel in real life…

A rocket ship built outdoors in the rain, of welded steel, in a rural field, fuelled by poopy methane, and energized by car batteries….

The Starship Mk1 prototype.
For scale, note the semi-trailer at lower right.

Freakin’ incredible.

  1. I don’t think that white thing on the lower right is a semi-trailer. I think it’s a building of some sort.

But that yellow thing might be a rail boxcar.

And you have to expect it to be massive, since it’s planned to hold 100 people, plus more than enough supplies to sustain those people for an extended flight, plus fuel, plus other equipment.
