Depends on what kind of changes you mean; and on variables such as which OS you’re using.
For example, if you pre-vacation shutdown included a pending update to a new version of Windows (perhaps without you realizing it), the update would complete when you next turned on the PC — even if that was after your vacation. When the PC was back up and running, you might well see “many changes.”
But if some of your documents were opened, and someone made “many changes” there, that’s a whole different thing: That’s an unauthorized human at your keyboard; or someone with remote-boot access to your PC.
It’s almost surely the former — just an update.
And in any case, you made a full backup and stored it in a safe place before vacation, just in case something bad happened to your data while you were away….
